Fiona Manlove was born in London and studied in Kent. After travelling to the USA and Australia in her early 20s, she returned to England where she married and had two children and now lives in Surrey. Fiona is a prolific writer for all ages from young children to young adults. This is her second book for Ragged Bears. The first was The Cat Sat on the Mat.
Pascal Biet was born in a lovely medieval town in the Loire Valley in France. He became interested in drawing from a young age. The Smurfs and Babar were inspirations, to name a few. Pascal chose to continue his studies in the arts. First high school in Tours, applied arts section, then to the ETIC school in Blois. After ETIC, Pascal wanted to work in children’s illustration. He participated in the contest that the Book Fair in Bologna, Italy, organizes every year. His illustrations were selected and exhibited there at the Fiera del Libro per Ragazzi in April 1997. Since then he has illustrated several picture books which have been published in many countries.
